San Patricio Jail Release Destinations
The San Patricio County Jail is the county’s only adult detention facility in the research facility map. The Sheriff’s Office operates it in Sinton. People may leave after bond, personal bond, a court release order, dismissal with release, sentence completion, or time served. Those outcomes may return a person to the community, though the court case or supervision can continue.
Other booking closures are transfers. TDCJ, another county jail, a federal authority, a hospital, or immigration custody may receive the person. The county booking ends in each case. Only the first group is a community release. Request the release or disposition code and the receiving agency. If the entry names another custodian, use that agency’s official locator or records route next.

Confirm San Patricio Jail Releases
No official roster archive, 24-hour list, 72-hour list, or Sheriff app was verified. A person’s absence from a current display cannot prove release. It might mean transfer, a spelling mismatch, delayed data, or a protected record. Begin with the official Sheriff page, then seek the named booking and release entry.
- Gather the full name, aliases, birth date if lawfully known, arrest date, and booking or cause number.
- Ask the jail whether it can confirm current custody and the prior booking’s release date and disposition.
- Submit a focused request for the booking sheet, actual release time, code, authorization, holds, and receiving agency.
- Obtain the court docket and the bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, commitment, or release order.
- If the result says transfer, switch to the receiving system and do not report a community release.

Request San Patricio Jail Records
Use the county Public Information Requests page for a written request. Identify existing records rather than asking staff to research a legal conclusion. A useful request seeks the booking sheet, release log entry, release authorization, actual release date and time, disposition code, holds, transfer destination, and booking photograph for one booking.
Include enough detail to locate the file. A full booked name, aliases, approximate date, booking or PID number, and cause number help. Ask for electronic copies, segregable public portions, the statutory ground for withheld material, and an estimate before costs are incurred. County policy discusses itemized estimates when charges exceed $40 and notice if production cannot occur within ten working days. Those provisions are not a promise of production by that date.

San Patricio Jail Capacity Context
The Texas Commission on Jail Standards documented 273 people against an approved capacity of 236 on September 30, 2025. It issued a noncompliance notice the next day tied to cells and dorms over capacity. These figures describe facility conditions at one point in time. They do not establish the status, release timing, or location of any named person.
The TCJS notice should not be used to infer roster delay or a release practice. It is facility context only. Person-specific status still requires the booking record and direct confirmation.
ICE Transfers from San Patricio Jail
San Patricio County signed a 287(g) jail-enforcement-model agreement with ICE in 2020. Its present operational status must be verified. The document nevertheless makes the local transfer issue concrete: the end of county custody can begin federal immigration custody instead of a return to the community.
When the release record identifies ICE or an immigration hold, use the official ICE Online Detainee Locator System and the relevant Enforcement and Removal Operations channel. A missing locator result can reflect delay, spelling, transfer, release, removal, or limited coverage. It does not prove community release or citizenship. Keep the Sheriff’s receiving-agency field with any later ICE result.

Release-Day Travel from San Patricio
The 2023 county Sequential Intercept Model report identifies REAL Transit and Feonix Mobility as regional transportation resources. It also calls rural transportation minimal and lacking a fixed schedule. People released on bond may need a ride home and later travel to meet pretrial obligations. These names are leads to verify, not a promise of service at the jail.
The report states that people leaving the county jail receive a ten-day medication supply and may be assessed for Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments services. It also identifies Coastal Plains Community Center programs and specialized CSCD mental-health supervision. Eligibility and placement decisions apply. They are not automatic benefits for each released person.
No halfway-house option was identified within San Patricio County, and the report describes local reentry options as limited, with some resources sought in Corpus Christi. That finding does not establish any person’s placement. Confirm transport, medication, program referral, and reporting instructions with the jail or named agency before release day.
San Patricio Custody Boundaries
The county juvenile detention center is excluded from this adult facility page because juvenile records follow special confidentiality rules. Municipal arrests can still lead to the county jail. The City of Mathis jail page points to the county facility rather than proving a separate searchable release archive. The arresting department keeps incident material; the Sheriff keeps the county booking and release event.
No TDCJ prison, BOP institution, or dedicated ICE detention center was identified inside San Patricio County. Jurisdiction still can shift beyond county lines. State sentences belong in TDCJ records.
